More New Grandmas for Ella

Dave does a fair amount of work with the senior citizens of our church. For a while now, he's been looking forward to including Ella in his ministry to the elderly, knowing her natural warmth and magnetism. Yesterday he took her to the Christmas Luncheon at our local Christian convalescence home. As he predicted, Ella and the old folks were a mutual blessing to each other. Ella wandered around shaking hands, giving hugs, making friends and bringing cheer. She even performed "Away In A Manger" in a microphone! (Sometimes I have to wonder, is this child really mine?!) Many of our members met her when she was born, but then retired to the home and haven't gotten to see her grow. Ella really looked forward to her "tea party with all the grandmas" and came home SO HAPPY from her afternoon of attention, cookies and new friends.

(Sorry for the blurry pictures, they were taken with Dave's phone.)

What a great way to have her involved! I'm sure Ella had a great time, but also blessed all around her! Very cute!

I love it! What a blessing for both generations. Don't forget that her Dad was in all the school plays - and easily gets up in front of people all of the time. I think you've mentioned before Jen that Ella may be a pastor in the making. That would be wonderful!
Love,
