The Perfect Day

What might the perfect day look like to Ella? Well, it would probably involve two of her favorite things-- friends and dressing up... like today! This morning, Jonathan came over for a few hours while Amy went to a doctor appointment. While she was learning that their baby is healthy and doing great, Ella and her buddy were playing trains and hearing stories.

Then this afternoon we went to the bridal shop to meet Sarah and her mom Sharon. We were trying on and picking out Ella's flower girl dress. Ella got to try on about 6 dresses and attracted the attention of every sales girl with her exuberance over wearing these ultimate princess gowns. She twirled, she marched, she danced, she sat so they'd "fluff up like a muffin" and she just gazed at herself for long periods in the wall of mirrors. It was a tough choice, but we decided on one with a train-- a favorite of all four of us. This was heaven for Ella.

She is absolutely beautiful!! What a fun day for Ella. You will have to order (or take) lots of pictures at the wedding, so we can show off our beautiful granddaughter!

How fun! Now she can dress up as a mini-bride. Look out, Dave!
