Anna's First Sequoia!

Anna has been in California as long as we have and when we heard she'd never seen a Giant Sequoia, we immediately planned a trip to Big Trees State Park. And even though the rest of us have hiked this path many many times, we were still awed by the awesome trees and fresh pine smell in the air.

This is a tree that has fallen. It is hollow, so you can walk through it. It is so huge, that you can even stand to your full height inside! (Here we are peeking out "the window")

We also went down to the river and dipped our toes in the freezing water.

These photos are so fun. I love the mix of true candids and super-cute poses. Looks like a great trip. I'm glad you are continuing the mission to show off California's big trees!
