You know how we love to explore when we have visitors. My sister arrived yesterday and her visit is no exception. We found this charming park called Pixie Woods a few towns over. It had a huge variety of fun outdoor playgrounds to play on-- everything from a pirate ship to Farmer McGreggor's barn to an old West ghost town. I already take way too many pictures, but given the myriad of cute scenes I couldn't stop from going a little nuts.
At the fire station playground. It had a fire truck to ride on, a big boot tunnel and a fire hydrant slide.
Just posing with Auntie Heather by some cute bronze statues.
The mini merry-go-round.
This was my favorite playground (and Delia's)-- the sea serpent splash park. Fountains and sprayers came from every part of this giant, twisting dragon's body.
Ella cuddling up with a "dork" (a dwarf).
The princess castle-- this one had a neat swaying bridge to cross over a turtle-infested pond.
Sisters playing the steel drums at the music playground.
What a great day! The kids had so much fun and it is wonderful having my sister here. I love watching her play with her nieces. Ella thinks she's the greatest thing and is keeping her pretty busy! We look forward to a whole week with her and a weekend visit from our cousin Anna.

Looks like so much fun! :) Oh-stinkin' planes. I would love to be out there with you guys and Heather too. I do disagree with you on one thing though, I have always thought those bronze laughing children statues were creepy as opposed to cute. Yet another phobia I guess! Have a great vacation together. Love, Auntie Kris
We tagged you!
What great photos! This park looks like great fun. We love all the characters. We can't wait to take you to Fresno's Storyland in a few weeks.
Hugs,
Dorina & Meilani
Hope you have a great visit with Heather!

Where was this park? Too bad you didn't find it any sooner!!! Kiera would have loved it. Sure looked like fun and right down your kids' alley! We sure enjoy reading your blog and reminiscing (and maybe living a little vicariously through you) about the good ole' California days!
