Translation: Bob and Larry must not be in my Veggie Tales movies, because they are right here for me to hug and high five!
Explanation: Tonight our family went to Faith Night at the Modesto Nuts game (a minor league ball club). Faith night included a concert by Hawk Nelson, a bunch of church groups (way different audience than the last time Dave and I went...it was $1 beer night!), rockin' Christian music between the innings and, of course, BOB and LARRY from Veggie Tales.
Ella made us laugh and smile a lot tonight. She fell in love at first sight with her buddies, hugging them, talking to them and asking the rest of the night, "Where Bob and Lerny go?" On a walk around the park, we spotted Larry again and she took off running yelling, "I get you!!" and then flew into his unsuspecting arms for a hug. She was desperate to find Bob back, too. I warned her about becoming a stalker fan.
Both girls did good with the actual game. Ella was most interested in climbing her chair and finding ways to sneak down the row or up the flight of stairs. Delia beamed at everyone who looked at her and pumped her chubby legs with happiness.

What a fun night! Ella's a VeggieTales Groupie!! And, how cute is she with those 'Hollywood' sunglasses?!
p.s. Who is standing behind Dave and Ella in the first picture? I don't recall any VeggieTales character who looks like that?!
Karen -
Not only did Ella get to see some Veggie Friends, but she got to meet some new ones as well. These are the Modesto Nuts mascots. The guy you more prominantly see is "Al" the Almond and the other guy is "Wally" the Walnut.
Hi VM Fam,
Sounds like a great night out at the "ball game." Nothing like our Chicago teams, I'm sure, but still worth it with the Veggies Tales there for the kids!
I love these photos. It's fun to see how much the girls look like you, Jen.
Off for a 7th Inning Stretch,

I am so glad to see that Ella is happy and smiling - and not clinging to her Daddy - while being up close to a character. Dave, we've told you how you were afraid of anyone in costume when you were around two years old. It looks like you all had a wonderful time. Love, MOM
Hey guys- Looks like a lot of fun! I'm so proud of you Dave! I vividly remember hiding under the table at Wags resturaunt because you were scared of the clown...glad to see you put on a brave face for the little ones! :) Like always-wish I could have been there.
With Love,
(Auntie) Kris
