Love that Michael's Coupon!

When Ella asked Dave, "Daddy do you have tools? Can I put them on my head? I want to be a bride!" we were admittedly stumped. A bit of pondering led us to the light, though: "Oh she means tulle!" She got this vocabulary from a hand-me-down princess craft book from my friend Penny. So we used this week's Michael's coupon on a package of tulle and made bridal veils. Getting some more use out of the flower girl dress too, you can see.

Ella has her daddy so wrapped around her girlie little finger that when she requested a groom, he even put on his black suit and dug his old prom bow tie out of my memory box!
.

As I thought it might, the new office has turned into a bit of a craft room. We spend at least an hour each day hauling out the now-accessable supplies and making stuff. Besides tulle, we also loaded up on $1 projects at Michael's-- make-your-own puzzles, princess finger puppets, tiaras you can jewel and scratch-off-black-paint crafts (like the fish at Delia's party).

Where's the picture of Dave??? :-) I pulled my wedding dress out of the closet recently and Anika was awed. (I just couldn't bring myself to let her use my veil -- I think I need to do the Michael's trick.) I can't wait for Kathryn to stop putting every little thing in her mouth -- then we can start doing crafts more frequently. (I have a closet full of $1 crafts from Michael's too).
