Answer: "I Do It By Myself."

Question: What phrase are we starting to hear more than any other around here? Miss Independence no longer wants help with anything. From clothes and shoes to crafts and books, she can do it alone, thank you very much. I haven't decided if this is good or bad yet!

Funny. We know that "I do. I do." phrase very well at the Gilmore home. I guess these girls have independent mommies so what should we expect?

I know, its funny. You want to raise your children to be independent and fully functioning, but there definitely are trade-offs. For example, while it would take me a total of 5 minutes to brush each of the boys' teeth by myself, when they "help" and do it themselves... it takes about ten minutes (not to mention the time that it takes to clean up the massive amount of toothpaste that covers the sink and counters when they are done. At least Ella has good taste and picks out cute clothes when dressing herself! I'm so proud of her! love, auntie Karen

Ella, I think you are missing out. I really prefer to make my mom do everything for me and then wiggle around to make it more interesting. Are you sure you don't want to do it my way?

I had so much FUN with you tonight!

Love,
Jonathan
